Copyright and takedowns
Last updated: July 2026
Most of what TheFiscalFinder presents is U.S. federal award data in the public domain (17 U.S.C. §105). Still, if you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, you may send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). The service provider and designated agent is 137 Finder LLC.
Sending a notice
Email your notice to support@thefiscalfinder.com with the subject line “DMCA notice.” To be effective, a notice must include the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail (such as the page URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including an email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Our response
We will review valid notices and may remove or disable access to the material in question. We may also notify the party who provided the material, where applicable.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to support@thefiscalfinder.com. A counter-notice should identify the removed material and its prior location, include your contact information and signature, and include a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, along with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts in Massachusetts.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances we will address repeat infringement. Notices sent for an improper purpose may carry liability under the DMCA.
