Description

State Opioid Response - Through the NH State Opioid Response 2022, the NH Department of Health and Human Services (Dhhs) Will Continue to Strengthen and Expand a Comprehensive Approach to Address the Needs and Gaps in the Substance Use Disorder (Sud) Continuum of Care Including Health Promotion and Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, Harm Reduction and Recovery Support Services. New Hampshire Intends to Continue to Provide, and to Expand, Services for Individuals with Sud Statewide with Continued Focus on Opioid and Stimulant Use. While Services for Sud Will Be Made Available to Anyone Seeking Assistance in NH, Special Populations Will Remain a Priority Including Children and Young Adults, Pregnant Women, Justice Involved Individuals and Those Re-Entering the Community Post Incarceration. NH Anticipates Serving Approximately 16,000 Unduplicated Individuals Annually. NH Requests the Full Funding Available, $28,505,671 Annually, and Intends to Use This Grant to Continue to Support Access to Critical Services That Are Not Accessible for Populations Due to Insurance Coverage Barriers, Service Capacity Gaps, and Workforce Shortages. Examples of These Services Include; Medications for Substance Use Disorder, Recovery Housing, Services to Individuals in Corrections, Workforce Readiness Opportunities, Peer Recovery Support Services, and Support Services That Increase Treatment Engagement and Retention (Childcare, Transportation). NH Will Use the Gpra Data Collection and Foa Follow-Up Requirements to Identify the Outcomes of Each Initiative Funded with Sor Resources to Inform Sustainability Plans. All of the Projects Proposed Meet the Intent of the Foa by Increasing Access to Treatment, Reducing Unmet Treatment Need, and Reducing Opioid Overdose Related Deaths Through the Provision of Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services for Sud.
