Purposethe Calcasieu-Sabine Large-Scale Marsh and Hydrologic Restoration Grant Is Awarded to Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority Under the Restore Act Direct Component Program to Reduce the Rate of Wetland Conversion to Open Water, Prevent a Substantial Amount of Land Loss Creating a Critical Buffer Zero from Land Erosion Into Communities and Support a Habitat for Fish and Wildlife in the Cameron Creole Watershed Within the Calcasieu-Sabine Basin Activities to Be Performedto Construct Seven Gravity Drainage Structures Along the Eastern Rim of the Existing Calcasieu Lake Levee; Conduct Up to 18 Miles of Conveyance Channel Improvements to Improve Flow Pathways from All Parts of the Marsh to the Lake Rim Drainage Structures; and Partner with the USACE for Their Beneficial Use of Dredged Material Budmat Dredging Cycle Projects to Create Approximately 400 Acres of Marsh in the Project Area Using Material Dredged.end Goalexpected Outcomesto Reduce Marsh Flood Stress and Land Loss from Persistent Inundation Within the Cameron-Creole Watershed.beneficiariesthe Calcasieu-Sabine Basin Along with Communities and Ports in the Lake Charles Area.subrecipient Activities There Is No Subrecipient for This Award.
