Description
The Purpose of This Award Is to Fund a FY22-23 Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Northeast Corridor (Fsp-Nec) Grant for the East River Tunnel Rehabilitation (Ert) Project. The Project Includes Final Design and Construction to Completely Rehabilitate Lines 1 and 2 of the Ert. The Project Will Remediate Damage from Superstorm Sandy, Returning Lines 1 and 2 to a State of Good Repair and Ensuring That Passenger Trains Can Continue to Operate Safely and Efficiently Through the Tunnels.
