This Grant to Metra Is for $140382115 in Fy 2022 Section 5337 $102421889 in Fy 2022 Section 5307 Funds $5000000 in Fy 2021 5337 Funds $2000000 in Fy 2021 Section 5307 Funds and $176609 in Fy 2017 Section 5307 Funds for a Total of $249980613. Funding Will Come from Uzas 170030 and 173780 as Broken Down Below. Lapsing Funds Are Included in This Application.purpose of the Award: This Grant of Section 5337 and Section 5307 Funding Is to Be Used by Metra for Rehabilitation and Improvements Throughout the Six County System to Bring Existing Assets Into a State of Good Repair and Renew the Rolling Stock Fleet. Activities to Be Performed: Activities Will Include Rail Car and Locomotive Improvements and Rehabilitations Keeping the Railroad Right-Of-Way Bridges and Retaining Walls in a State of Good Repair Various Improvements to Yard Facilities Signal and Communications Equipment and Station Facilities as Well as Oversight Over These Projects and Design of Upcoming Projects. Expected Outcomes: The Projects to Be Funded by This Grant Will Help Reduce Metras State of Good Repair Backlog Replace Outdated and Obsolete Equipment Improve Service Reliability and Efficiency.intended Beneficiaries: The Projects to Be Funded Under This Grant Will Benefit Metra Riders Throughout the Six County Region That Metra Serves. Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipients on This Grant.the Non-Federal Share for Section 5337 Funds Which Is $29076423 Is Coming from Illinois Department of Transportation (Idot) Transportation Development Credits(tdcs). The Non-Federal Share for Section 5307 Funds Which Is $20919700 Is Also Coming from Idot Transportation Development Credits. Idot Approval of the Tdcs Is Attached. TDC Match to the Fy 2021 Section 5307 Funds Was Approved Separately in 2021 and That Approval Is Also Attached. Some of the Funds in This Grant Application Will Be Used in Conjunction with Other Fta Grants.
