Application Purpose: The Purpose of This Award Is to Provide One (1) Year of Preventive Maintenance and Management of Tire Leasing Contracts for Revenue Vehicle Fleet Purchase of IT Equipment Manage Third-Party Project Management Contracts for IT Projects Implement Security-Related Activities That May Include Installing Security Cameras at Transit Facilities and on Vehicles Construction/Rehabilitation of Bus Shelters and Purchase a Total of 18 Replacement Buses (16 Under 5307 Funds + 2 Under 5339 Funds) as Well as Associated Bus Parts for Broward County Transit to Assist in Fixed Route Transit Operations.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Preventive Maintenance Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One Year the Construction of New Bus Shelters the Purchase a Total of 18 Replacement Buses (16 Under 5307 Funds + 2 Under 5339 Funds) and the Purchase of 15 Non-Revenue Replacement Vehicles and Associated Bus Parts.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Broward County Transit to Meet Preventive Maintenance Standards Continue to Provide Operations and Keep Rolling Stock Vehicles in a State of Good Repair.; Intended Beneficiaries: Broward County Transit and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit from Continued Services Providing Reliable Transportation to Get to Work School Shopping and Other Destinations.; Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipients for This Application.
