Description

Purpose: This Is a Ffy 2021 Section 5307 Formula Fund Grant in the Amount of $49644460 to Fund Preventive Maintenance on Utas Bus and Rail Systems. The Total Amount in This Grant Is $62055576 (Fed+local). This Award Together with Utas 2021 5337 Formula Grant Temporary Fain 1167-2022-2 Will Fund Preventive Maintenance Activities for the Performance Period. The 5307 FY2021 Full Apportionments for the Three Urbanized (Uzas) in Utas Service Area Totals $49644460 in the Following Amounts: $27678035 for Salt Lake-West Valley (Uza #490520) $13105359 for Ogden-Layton (Uza #499560) $8861066 for Provo-Orem (Uza #491750) Activities to Be Performed: The Grant Scope of Work Includes Preventive Maintenance for Utas Rail and Bus Systems for Both Vehicles and Facilities. Uta Is Not Using Federal Funds for Security. Uta Will Spend Local Funds Totaling More Than One Percent of Its 5307 Allocations to Meet the Requirement of Spending One Percent of the Funds on Safety/Security Improvements. Uta Is Not Using Funding for Ada Operating Assistance This Year as Those Expenses Were Reimbursed by Cares Crssa and Arpa Grants.expected Outcomes: Funding to Support the Preventive Maintenance of Utas Capital Assets Which Includes Bus Fleet and Light Rail and to Keep Them in a State of Good Repair. Intended Beneficiaries: The Population Uta Serves Within the Listed Uzas. Maintaining Our Capital Assets Will Allow US to Provide Quality and Reliable Service. Pre-Award Authority Expenses in the Approximate Amount of $60000000 Have Been Incurred to Date.
