Description

Application Purpose: This Project Helps to Mitigate the Impacts of Severe Weather on Our System and Address Items That Cause Service Impacts. Using the Results of a Study Dart Worked Closely with Operations to Identify Frequent Weather-Related Problems That Cause Service Impacts Including Ice Heat and All-Weather Related Impacts. The Study Looked at Ways to Implement Solutions So That Damage to Infrastructure Does Not Occur in Weather Related Events or That There Is a Sufficient Back Up If Weather Does Hit.; Activities Performed: Utilizing a Study That Identified Key Areas and Likelihood of Occurrence Dart Is Piloting Several Options That Address All Season Summer and Winter Specific Needs. Projects Will Be Fully Executed Dependent Upon the Outcome of Each Pilot.; Expected Outcomes: Improved Operations That Are Not Impacted by Weather Events.; Intended Beneficiaries: Passengers Will Be the Primary Beneficiary of This Project Followed by Maintenance and Operational Staff Members Who Will Not Need to Quickly Address Weather-Related Issues During a Storm.; Subrecipient Activities: None.
