Application Purpose: Dallas Area Rapid Transit (Dart) Will Receive Funding to Buy New Compressed Natural Gas Fueled Buses to Replace Older Buses.; Activities Performed: Purchase of 186 Natural Gas Buses. This Is the First Lot of a Total of 522 Buses to Be Purchased Over the Course of Four Years Replacing a Total of 476 Nabi Buses (Ranging from 2012 to 2014 Model Years) and 46 New Flyer Suburban Buses (Model Year 2016); Expected Outcomes: Overall Project Goal: Replacement of More Than 90% of Darts Current Fleet with New Lower-Emission Buses. New Buses Will Further Reduce Nox Emissions from the Standards in Place at the Time of the Original Buses Purchases by More Than 80%.
