House Committee on Appropriations

The House Committee on Appropriations is a committee of the U.S. House of Representatives with 62 current members, and its jurisdiction covers 10 federal agencies, including Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services, and Department of Veterans Affairs. The House Committee on Appropriations is responsible for legislation allocating federal funds prior to expenditure from the treasury. Appropriations are generally limited to the levels set by the Budget Resolution drafted by the House Committee on the Budget.
