Igf::ot::igf the United States Air Force Space and Missiles System Center (Smc), Infrared Space Systems Directorate (Sbirs) Has Initiated Programs to Meet Operational System Technology Needs by Accelerating the Fielding of New Technologies and Evaluating Potential New Sources and Methods. These Programs Will Demonstrate New Capabilities in a Timely and Cost Effective Manner Via On-Orbit Testing and Validation of SMC Technologies Using Hosted Payloads and Small Satellites. The Objective Is to Achieve Resilient Architectures While Dramatically Lowering the Cost and Schedule of Space Missions.
