Application Purpose: This Grant Will Provide Funding to the States Rural Transit Providers to Replace Buses That Have Reached or Past Their Useful Life; to Expand Existing Service by Acquiring Additional Buses for Existing Fleets; Purchase Communication Equipment and Other Capital Items Used in the Support of Providing Transit Services; Provide for the Costs Associated with the Operation of Transit Service; Provide for the Costs Associated with the Administration of the 5311 Program Incurred by Nysdot Staff; Activities Performed: Rolling Stock Purchases of Different Sizes/Fuel Types; Operating Assistance; the Purchase and Acquisition of Capital Items Used in the Running of Transit Services; the Administration of the 5311 Program by Nysdot Staff.; Expected Outcomes: To Enhance and Continue to Provide the States Rural Transit Riders with High Quality Service. Other Outcomes Include to Increase the Percentage of Vehicles in Service That Are in a State of Good Repair to Align with the Goals Found in the States Tam Plan.; Intended Beneficiaries: Users of Public Transportation in Rural Sections of the State Including Those Who Use Intercity Bus Services to Make Connections Between Major Cities for the Purposes of Employment Medical Appointments; Shopping and Entertainment.; Subrecipient Activities: 1. Admin Funding - to Be Used by Nysdot for the Purposes of Administrating the 5311 Program. This Includes for Nysdot Staff Payroll for Staff Working to Administer the Program as Well as the Use of a Consultant to Assist with the Oversight of the 5311 PROGRAM.2. Rtap - to Provide Technical Knowledge for the States Sub-Recipients of 5311 Funding to Assist in Understanding the Requirements of the PROGRAM.3. Operating Assistance - Provide 55 Sub-Recipients (Including Intercity Operators) with Funding to Cover Eligible Expenses Associated with the Operation of Transit SERVICES.4. Acquisition of Adp Software - Provide 2 Sub-Recipients with Funding for the Purchasing of Scheduling/Dispatching EQUIPMENT.5. Construction Rehab of Transit Facilities - Provide 2 Sub-Recipients with Funding to Construct New Transit Facility and to Rehab Existing Facilities with the Replacement of the Roof Replacement of HVAC System and Other Facility FEATURES.6. Bus Standard 35FT Diesel - 3 Sub-Recipients to Purchase a Total of 6 BUSES.7. Bus 30FT Replacement - One Sub-Recipient to Purchase 3 Replacement BUSES.8. Bus 30FT Gas - 12 Sub-Recipients to Purchase a Total of 90 Replacement BUSES.9. Bus Standard 35FT Diesel Expansion - 4 Sub-Recipients to Purchase a Total of 4 Buses for the Purposes of Fleet Expansion. 10. Bus 30FT Gas Expansion - One Sub-Recipient to Purchase 4 Buses for the Purposed of Fleet EXPANSION.11. Bus 30FT Diesel Expansion - One Sub-Recipient to Purchase 6 Buses for the Purposes of Fleet EXPANSION.12. Mobility Management - 17 Sub-Recipients to Receive Funding for the Purposes of Mobility Management Activities.
