Specific Award Purpose:this Grant Includes $50000000 in Fy 2021 Crrsaa Section 5307 Formula Funding Representing 100% of the Amount Sub-Allocated to Washington State Ferries from the Seattle Uza. The Sub-Allocation Letter Dated 04/26/2021 Is Attached in Trams. These Funds Will Be Used for Eligible Operating Activities to Help Prevent Respond to and Recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Federal Share Is 100%.ACTIVITIES to Be Performed:these Funds Will Be Used for Existing Eligible Operating Activities on Ferry Routes Operated by Washington State Ferries to Help Prevent Respond to and Recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic. This Operating Assistance Supplements Assistance Provided Under WA-2020-037-01-00 - Cares Act - Fy 2020 Sec 5307 Operating Assistance for Washington State Ferries Where Available Funding May Be Insufficient to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses Within Overlapping Time Periods. Funds Will Also Used for Existing Eligible Operating Activities for Preventive Maintenance on Ferry Routes Operated by Washington State Ferries to Help Prevent Respond to and Recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Scope Includes But Is Not Limited to the Following: Renovate Replace And/OR Upgrade Vessel Systems Including Steel Structures Structural Preservation Systems Interior Spaces Piping and Propulsion Major Mechanical /Electrical Communication / Navigation / Lifesaving and Security Equipment Procurement of Long-Lead Capital Vessel Components (Owner Furnished Equipment) to Be Installed During Shipyard Periods and Diesel Engine Overhauls on Multiple Vessels. IT May Also Include Emergency Repairs Hull Maintenance and Preservation Regulatory Compliance and Enhancements for the WSF Fleet. Expected Outcomes:this Funding Will Help the Recipient Respond to and Recover from the Effects of COVID-19 Pandemic.intended Beneficiaries:ferry Customers Who Utilize WSF Ferry Service Throughout the WSF System.subrecipient Activity:n/Athe Recipient Certifies That IT and Its Subrecipients and Contractors That Are Providers of Public Transportation Have Not Furloughed Any Employees Since March 27 2020 (the Enactment Date of the Cares Act)washington State Ferries Agrees That If IT Receives Federal Funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or Through a Pass-Through Entity Through the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act a Different Federal Agency or Insurance Proceeds for Any Portion of a Project Activity Approved for Fta Funding Under This Grant Agreement IT Will Provide Written Notification to Fta and Reimburse Fta for Any Federal Share That Duplicates Funding Provided by FEMA Another Federal Agency or an Insurance Company.
