Application Purpose: Section 5339(B) Bus and Bus Facilities Funding Will Be Utilized to Build an Operational Center That Will Address Current and Future Fleet Needs and Allow the Agency to Become More Resilient. This Project Will Also Focus on Workforce Development Activities Aimed at Recruiting and Training Employees on Low Emission Technologies Opportunities with the Operational Center.section 5339(C) Low/No Funding Will Be Utilized Purchase of 20 Egen Flex Diesel-Electric Hybrid Engine Technology 40FT Buses for Fleet Replacement and Modernization.; Activities Performed: Build an Operational Center That Adds Capacity to Store the Additional Vehicles. This Grant Also Includes Workforce Development to Gain and Train Employees on the Low/No and Zero Emission Technology.the Purchase of 20 Replacement Vehicles.; Expected Outcomes: Indygo Will Have a New Operational Center That Adds Needed Space for Transit Operations and Growing Indygos Low Emission Fleet. This Center Would Also Create a Contingency Site in Case of a Disaster.
