Application Purpose: The Purpose of This Award IT to Provide Funding to the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (Sorta) to Implement the Following PROJECTS:1.MAINTAINING the Sorta Bus Fleet Provide Ada Complementary Paratransit Service to Persons with Disabilities and Enhancing Transit SECURITY.2.CREATE One Badge to Rule Them All for Employees. 3.ACQUIRE Handheld Data Collection UNITS.4. Government Square Transit Center Preventive Maintenance.; Activities Performed: Sorta Will Be Using These Funds for the Following ACTIVITIES:1. Ada Complementary Paratransit Service - This Activity Will Partially Fund the Annual Operating Cost of Sortas Access Demand Response Service Provided for Persons with Disabilities. 2. Preventive Maintenance - This Activity Includes the Inspection Maintenance and Repair of Revenue Vehicles and Transit FACILITIES.3. Security Enhancements - This Activity Will Include the Acquisition of Security-Related Equipment to Be Utilized Within the Sorta Metro SYSTEM.4.PROVIDING Employees with a Single Badge That Can Be Used as an Access Point Security Measure Bus Pass Laptop Authentication and TIMESHEET.5.SORTA Will Acquire Handheld Data Collection Devices to Be Used in the Maintenance and Transit Operations DEPARTMENTS.6.PROVIDE Periodic Maintenance of the Government Square Transit Center; Expected Outcomes: 1.SORTA Will Be Better Able to Maintain Its Transit Assets in a State of Good Repair and Provide Accessible Transportation to People with Disabilities While Enhancing Safety and SECURITY.2.HAVING One Master ID Badge Will Eliminate Complexity and Provide Sorta Employees with a More Secure and Systematic Access Experience. 3.HAVING Handheld Data Collection Devices Is Expected to Increase Efficiencies in Operations an Provide Real-Time Diagnostic Resources to Maintenance. 4. Maintaining the Government Square Transit Center in a State of Good Repair.; Intended Beneficiaries: Residents and Transit Riders as Well as Businesses in Sortas Service Area and Employees of Sorta Will Be Beneficiaries of This Award. This Includes All of Hamilton County and Parts of Warren Butler and Clermont Counties in Southwest Ohio.; Subrecipient Activities: N/A
