Application Purpose: Purpose: The Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Over One Year of Operating Assistance Associated Capital Maintenance Miscellaneous Support Equipment the Purchase of Ten Replacement Fixed Route Buses Two Replacement Support Vehicles Eleven Replacement Bus Shelters and Facility Renovations and Maintenance for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (Wrta) to Assist IT in Fixed Route and Demand Response Operations During the Period of 7/01/2022 to 9/30/2024.; Activities Performed: Activities to Be Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Associated Capital Maintenance Support Equipment and Operating Expenses Such as Labor and Fringe Benefit Costs and the Purchase of Ten Replacement Buses Two Support Vehicles Eleven Replacement Bus Shelters and Necessary Rehabilitation and Renovations to the Wrtas Maintenance and Operations Facility.; Expected Outcomes: Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Wrta to Finance a Program of Projects That Will Enable the Wrta to Continue Providing a Reliable Responsive and Safe Transit Service to the Public.; Intended Beneficiaries: Intended Beneficiaries: Wrta and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit from Continued Services Permitting Workers to Get to Work and Other Destinations.; Subrecipient Activities: Subrecipient Activities: None Associated with This Grant.
