Non-Fixed Route Paratransit Operations (Mv Transportation Service Contract)octa Is Requesting 20% of the Total FFY2021 Federal Apportionment or $12028663 in FFY2021 Section 5307 Funds to Support the MV Transportation Contract for the Period of October 1 2021 to September 30 2023. This Contract Provides Non-Fixed Route Paratransit Transportation Access Service Provided by MV Transportation. The Total Cost of Providing Access Service for the Period July 1 2021 to September 30 2023 Is $48.5 Million of Which 40% or $19.4 Million Is Eligible for Federal Participation at an 80/20 Rate. Please Note This Funding for the Cost of Contracting Out Access Non-Fixed Route Services Is Supplemented by Grant Fain #1682-2020-14 for a Total of $2291380 in FFY2021 Section 5310 and Grant Fain 1680-2020-16 for $4475458 in FFY2021 Fta Section 5339. Among This Application and the 5310 and 5339 Applications Octa Will Be Applying for $18795501 in Federal Funds for Access Non-Fixed Route Services Which Is 39% of the Contract COST.2. Preventive Maintenance (Pm) - Equipment/Vehiclesthis Grant Applies $34781305 in FFY2021 Section 5307 Funds for Preventive Maintenance for the Period October 1 2021 to September 30 2022. Estimated Preventive Maintenance Costs in the Operating Budget for Equipment and Vehicles Is $44202939 Less $2371659 for Warranty Recovery Leaving $41831280 Available for Federal Participation at the 80/20 Rate. This Grant Will Apply Federal Funds of $34781305 to This Allowable Share. 3. Contracted Fixed-Route Contractocta Is Requesting $13333346 in FFY2021 Section 5307 Funding for Fixed-Route Contracted Services at 40/60 Federal Participation. The Selected Provider Is First Transit for Fixed-Route Contracted Services. Octa Contracts Out 40% of the Fixed-Route Services. The Time Period for This Service Is October 1 2021 to September 30 2022.EXPECTED Outcomesthis Grant Will Provide Funding to Ensure Octa Can Continue to Provide Fixed-Route Transit Service and Transit Mobility Options for the Orange County Community with Physical or Cognitive Limitations That Prevent Them from Utilizing the Public Fixed-Route Bus Service. These Projects Will Improve Air Quality Provide Reliable Transit Service for All Riders and Allow Octa to Maintain a State of Good Repair for All Vehicles and Equipment.intended Beneficiariesthe Beneficiaries Are All Residents of Orange County That Utilize Fixed-Route and Non-Fixed Route Ada Paratransit Service.
