NCS High- Impact Hiv Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Departments - the North Carolina Hiv Prevention and Surveillance Programs Will Increase Knowledge of Hiv Status and Treatment with Rapid Linkage to Care and Viral Suppression, Using a Multi-Pronged Approach to Prevent Transmission of Hiv Through the Use of Prep, Harm Reduction, Traditional and Non-Traditional Testing, Interruption of Perinatal Transmission, and Through Work with Syringe Services Programs Across the State. Surveillance Activities That Produce Actionable Data Are Key to Our Intervention Strategies, Including Working with Communities to Collaborate and Engage. Disease Intervention Specialists (Dis) Are Critical to the Effort of Identifying Partners and Contacts Who May Be at Risk of Acquiring Hiv, Testing and Linking Them to Care or Prevention.
