Initial Grant (00)THIS Application Includes $46689732 in 2022 Arpa Funding for Operations at 100% Federal Share. Fundswill Allow Pierce to Respond to and Recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic.purpose:this Grant Includes FY2021 Section 5307 Urbanized Area Arp Funds Operating Expenses to Prevent Respond to and Recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic and Will Be Used for Operations at a 100% Federal Share. Activities to Be Performed:sustained and Safe Operations Within the Pierce Transits Service Area to Support the Pierce Transit Public Transportation System to Continue to Respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic.expected Outcomes:sustained and Safe Transit Services Within Pierce Transits Service Area.intended Beneficiaries:general Public in and Around Pierce Transits Service Area.special Language for Furlough Certificationthe Recipient Certifies That IT and Any Subrecipient or Contractor That Is a Provider of Public Transportation: (A)intend to the Maximum Extent Possible to Use Cares Act or Crrsaa Funds to Bring Back Any Employeespreviously Furloughed as a Direct Result of Financial Difficulties Caused by the COVID-19 Public Healthemergency; (B) Intend to Use Cares Act or Crrsaa Funds to Rehire Any Positions of Employees Who Were Laidoff as a Direct Result of Financial Challenges Caused by the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency; and (C) Willexplain How They Have Spent Cares Act or Crrsaa Funds on Payroll Operations or Payroll and Expenses Ofprivate Providers of Public Transportation to the Maximum Extent Possible.special Condition for Emergency Related Fundingthe Recipient Agrees That If IT Receives Federal Funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency(fema) or Through a Pass-Through Entity Through the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergencyassistance Act a Different Federal Agency or Insurance Proceeds for Any Portion of a Project Activity Approvedfor Fta Funding Under This Grant Agreement IT Will Provide Written Notification to Fta and Reimburse Fta Forany Federal Share That Duplicates Funding Provided by FEMA Another Federal Agency or an Insurance Company.
