Project Title: I-83 South Bridge Replacement :::: Project Description: I-83 South Bridge Over the Susquehanna River City of Harrisburg Bridge Replacement, Widening and Interchange Improvements the Project Consists of the Replacement of the Existing South Bridge with a Wider Bridge, Widened to the South, Full Depth Reconstruction of I-83 Between the South Bridge and Just East of the Exit 41A (PA 581) Interchange, Reconfiguration of the I-83 Exit 41B (Lemoyne) Interchange, Replacement of the Existing South 3RD Street (Sr 2035) Bridge Over I-83 and the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Lemoyne Borough, Relocation of Lowther Street (Sr 2028) East of South 3RD Street in Lemoyne Borough, Replacement of the Front STREET/2ND Street Interchange, Including the Viaduct (Bridge) from the Eastern End of the South Bridge to Cameron Street, and Construction of Associated Stormwater Management, Lighting, Signage, and Noise Barriers. The Eastern End of the I-83 South Bridge Project Is the I-83 Front STREET/2ND Street Interchange, Which Includes the Viaduct from the Eastern End of the South Bridge to Cameron Street. The Western End of the I-83 South Bridge Project Is Immediately East of the I-83/PA-581 Interchange State Route 0083, Section 094, in Dauphin County, City of Harrisburg and Cumberland County, Lemoyne Borough, from a Point in Cumberland County 4,368.94 Feet West of Norfolk Southern Tracks at Segment 0410/0411 Offset 0992/1362 to a Point in Dauphin County 150 Feet West of Cameron Street at SEGMENT0430/0431 Offset 0012/0014, for an Overall Project Length of 16,127.87 Linear Feet (3.055 Miles).
