Description

Application Purpose: This Grant Contains Two Projects That Will Utilize Two Funds. The Funds Together Will Provide for the Purchase of Up to 87 Total (33 FY24 and 53 FY25) Replacement Diesel Electric Hybrid Buses to Be Added to Ddots Fleet Replacing Older More Polluting Buses with New Cleaner More Efficient Low or No Emissions Buses Will Improve the Air Quality for Residents in and Around the Ddot Service Territory. Cost Savings Will Also Result Due to Utilizing This New Technology.; Activities Performed: Purchase Up to 86 Low and No Emissions Buses Along with Associated Charging and Infrastructure and Training on the Technology. These Buses Will Be Operated Throughout the Ddot Service Territory.; Expected Outcomes: By Replacement Existing More Polluting Buses with New Clean Technology Ddot Will Reduce the Level of Pollutants While Also Reducing Operating Costs. These Efforts Align with Global Emissions Reduction Efforts and Comply with Current Regulation.; Intended Beneficiaries: Ddot Passengers Drivers and Citizens Residing in the Community Will All Benefit from This Project.; Subrecipient Activities: This Project Does Not Include Subrecipients.
