Description

Application Purpose: To Fund Construction of the East Colfax Avenue BRT Project in Denver and Aurora Co.; Activities Performed: The Cig Funds Construction and Implementation of Environmental Mitigation Measures of the Portion of the East Colfax Avenue BRT Project Between Civic Center and the RTD R Line Along East Colfax Avenue; the Cig Funds Do Not Fund the Portion of the Project Between Denver Union Station and Civic Center.; Expected Outcomes: The East Colfax Avenue BRT Project Will Reduce Transit Travel Time by 15 to 30 Minutes Provide More Affordable and Reliable Access to Over 162000 Jobs and Community Services Along the Corridor Enhance Comfort and Safety and Create Exciting Streetscape Placemaking and Economic Development Opportunities.; Intended Beneficiaries: The Project Will Benefit Those Working and Living Near the East Colfax Avenue Corridor in Denver and Aurora Colorado.; Subrecipient Activities: One Subrecipient (City and County of Denver) Is Funded by This Award.
