Application Purpose: The Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Funds for the Ridesharing Program Guaranteed Ride Home Program Procurement of Replacement Hybrid Electric Buses and Procurement of Replacement Clean Diesel Buses. ; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Purchase 54 Replacement Clean Diesel Buses Purchase Eighteen (18) Hybrid Electric Buses Annual Commuter Assistance Program for Maryland and Commuter Guaranteed Ride Home Program.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Mta to Keep Rolling Stock Vehicles in a State of Good Repair and to Promote Alternatives to Single Occupancy Driving.; Intended Beneficiaries: Mta and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit from Continued Services Permitting Workers to Get to Work and Other Destinations.; Subrecipient Activities: The Following Subrecipients Will Receive Commuter Assistance: Montgomery County Prince Georges County Calvert County Tri-County Council Southern MD Frederick County Harford County Anne Arundel County Baltimore City Baltimore Metropolitan Council and Howard County.
