Description:the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Funding Under the Inflation Reduction Act to the Port of ANACORTES.#8239;SPECIFICALLY, the Recipient Will Improve Air Quality and Reduce Pollution at the Port and in the Surrounding Area Through the Deployment of Zero-Emission Equipment and Infrastructure at the PORT.#8239; Activities:the Activities Include the Procurement of Battery Electric Vessels, Equipment, Technologies, and Related Infrastructure, as Well as Creating Near-Port Community Engagement and Workforce Opportunities. Subrecipient:the Subaward Activities Include the Purchase and Deployment of 11 Electric Forklifts, 4 Electric Boom Lifts, 6 Electric Travel Lifts/Cranes, 2 Electric Material Handlers, 2 Electric Skiffs, and 5 Electric Vessels and the Installation of Shore Power. IT Also Includes the Scrapping of 7 Diesel and Propane Forklifts, 4 Diesel Electric Travel Lifts/Cranes, 2 Diesel Material Handlers, 6 Diesel Marine Engines, and 4 Other Non-Road Diesel Engines. Other Deliverables Include Increased Job and Apprenticeship Opportunities and Training Sessions.outcomes:the Anticipated Deliverables Include the Purchase and Deployment of 16 Electric Forklifts, 5 Electric Boom Lifts, 6 Electric Travel Lifts/Cranes, 2 Electric Material Handlers, 5 Tow Tractor, Two Electric Skiffs, and 5 Electric Vessels and the Installation of Shore Power. IT Also Includes the Scrapping of 12 Diesel and Propane Forklifts, 1 Diesel Boom Lift, 4 Diesel Cranes, 2 Material Handlers, 6 Diesel Marine Engines, and 4 Other Non-Road Diesel Engines. Other Deliverables Include Increased Job and Apprenticeship Opportunities and Training Sessions. The Expected Outcomes Include Reduced CO2, PM2.5, and Nox Emissions; Reduced Noise and Fuel Use; Increased Renewable Power Output, Distributed Energy Storage Capacity, Community Engagement, and Workforce Support; and Safer, More Efficient Port Operations. The Intended Beneficiaries Include the Port of Anacortes (Grantee); the Stabbert Marine and Industrial (Smi) Anacortes (Smia) (Partner), Which Will Support Vessel and Industry Repair and Maintenance; Arrow Launch Service (Partner), Which Will Provide Vessel Launch Services; Culbertson Marine Construction (Partner), Which Will Support Repair, Remediation, and Other Construction Work; Island Express Charters (Partner), Which Will Provides Passenger and Freight Transportation; Skyline Marine Center (Partner), a Moorage, Boatyard, and Boat Storage Facility; and Washington State Ferries (Partner), Which Will Support the Replacement of Gasoline Equipment with Zero-Emission Equipment. Indirect Beneficiaries Include Near-Port Communities Which Will Experience Improved Ambient Air QUALITY.#8239;
