Application Purpose: The Purpose of This Grant Is to Provide Funding for Purchase of 22 Fuel Cell Electric Buses and 46 Replacement Compressed Natural Gas Buses. These Funds Allow Octa to Continue to Provide Efficient and Dependable Bus Service in Orange County California and Ensure the Oc Bus Fleet Remains in a State of Good Repair.the Grant Will Also Provide Funding for Oc Streetcar Operations for the First Year of Service That Is Scheduled to Start in 2026. These Funds Will Allow Octa to Operate New Oc Streetcar Service in Orange County California Resulting in Increased Transit Ridership and Reduced Emissions.; Activities Performed: This Grant Is Funding the Purchase of Replacement Vehicles and Operating Assistance for the First Year of the Oc Streetcar Service.; Expected Outcomes: This Grant Will Provide Funding to Ensure Oc Bus Fleet Remains in a State of Good Repair. The Zero Emission Replacement Buses Will Result in Reduced GHG Emissions and Support Octas Conversion to a Zero-Emission Fleet. The 46 Replacement Vehicles Will Also Result in Reduced GHG Emissions. This Grant Will Also Provide Funding to Allow the Initiation of Streetcar Service in Orange County Resulting in Transit Ridership Increase and Reduced GHG Emissions.; Intended Beneficiaries: The Intended Beneficiaries of This Project Are Patrons That Utilize Oc Bus Service. The Resulting Improved Air Quality Will Benefit All Residents of Orange County.; Subrecipient Activities: Octa Does Not Intend to Sub-Award Funds.
