Colorado Stimulant and Opioid Response 2024 - the State of Colorado Seeks to Serve Coloradans Facing Opioid and Stimulant Abuse Concerns and Their Loved Ones. The State Opioid Response Grant Program Is Managed by the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration's Adult Recovery and Treatment Team. The Colorado State Opioid Response (Co-Sor) Program Utilizes Multiple Data-Driven Strategies and Interventions to Address the Opioid Use Crisis and Related Substance Abuse Concerns. The Colorado State Opioid Response Program Supports Several Demographics Including People Currently Living with Substance Use Concerns, People in Recovery, Family and Loved Ones of People with Substance Use Concerns, Providers, Harm Reductionists, and Groups Receiving Primary Prevention. Direct Treatment and Recovery Services Are Provided to People with Clinical Characteristics of Substance Use Disorder as Defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (Asam). Throughout Sor 4, the CO-Sor Team Will Continue to Engage Coloradans in a Variety of Programs and Projects That Address Service and Need Gaps for People Facing Opioid and Stimulant Misuse; These Include Anti-Stigma Campaigns, Harm Reduction Messaging and Materials, Promotion of Recovery Programs in Several Forms, Peer Programming, and Prevention Campaigns for Transitional Age Youth and Adults. CO-Sor Primarily Focuses on Meeting an Individual Where They Are on the Substance Use Concern Spectrum, Whether That's While They Are in Active Addiction and in Need of Harm Reduction or Ready for Recovery and Can Use the Support of Peers, Mat/Moud, and Recovery Residences. Annually the CO-Sor Team Works to Serve Approximately 1 Million Coloradans. Over the Next Three Years During Sor 4, CO-Sor Aims to Serve Nearly 4 Million Coloradans Through Anti-Stigma Campaigns, Primary Prevention, Prevention Campaigns, Direct Services, and Community and Provider Education.
