Application Purpose: 2/15/2024THE Purpose of This New Award Is to Add Lapsing Funds from the FY2022 Apportionment of the Section 5311 (Non-Urbanized Formula) $22282367 Federal Funds FY2022 Rtap $384271 Federal Funds and FY2022 Appalachian $6564671 Federal Funds. The Total Amount of Federal Funds to Be Added to the Grant Is $29231309. Activities in the Project Will Consist of: Operating Assistance Program Administration Intercity Bus Operating Assistance State Administration and Rtap/Training to Assist the State and Its Subrecipients in FY2025. IT Is Programmed in the Alabama 2023-2027 Stip.; Activities Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses Such as Driver Salaries Fuel Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One-Year Preventive Maintenance Etc. IN Order to Continue Transit Operations. Funds Will Also Be Used for Training and Technical Assistance Along with Intercity and State Administration Activities. Rtap Funds Will Be Used for Providing Rural Training Technical Assistance and Research Initiatives. Rtap Will Also Be Used to Promote the Delivery of Safe and Effective Public Transportation in Non-Urbanized Areas; to Make More Effective Use of Public and Private Resources in the Provision of Rural Transportation; to Support the Coordination of Public and Human Service Transportation; and to Foster the Development of State and Local Capacity for Addressing the Training and Technical Assistance Needs for the Rural Transportation Community.
